Dominican Republic
Carlos and Kimberley Belez live and work in Jarabacoa, Dominican
Republic.
Carlos was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. His parents became Christians when their neighbors shared Jesus Christ with them. Their community is not materially wealthy but is a place of peace because of the transforming power of the Gospel. Carlos has long prayed that God would raise up workers to equip pastors and leaders in churches and communities to share the grace and freedom we have in Jesus. After many years of waiting for God to provide, in 2018, Carlos felt Him saying, “What about you?”. Kimberley was born and raised in Canada. Her father was a Home Missionary and Christian Reformed pastor in both Canada and the USA. She has held several positions in Human Resources and Office Management in private industry, a church, and a non-profit medical clinic. She previously spent 3 years as a missionary in Jarabacoa (2011-2014). During that time, Carlos and Kimberley met in a gym, and fell in love while hiking the interior mountains of Dominican Republic.Using the image of a table, Carlos and Kimberley open space for
stakeholders in churches and communities to come together, exchange
ideas, find common goals, and develop concrete plans for positive impact. Both work mentoring and discipling young people, leading Bible studies and building relationships in the surrounding community.
