Apprenticeship Program, Ireland
Born into a Christian family in Wilmington, NC, Ellen was touched by international missions at a young age through volunteer work, and has been actively pursuing it since 2019.
In more recent years, the commitment to missions existed alongside pursuit of an undergraduate degree at Appalachian State University, with concentrations in Psychology and Criminal Justice. These two courses of study grew Ellen’s heart for those who struggle with mental health challenges and those who struggle with injustice, and in her Senior year of college she felt more strongly than ever that she wanted to bring the good news of Christ and His peace to those with such struggles across the nations. She was advised by her sister to seek out Serge, and has been following the path God is illuminating for her with the organization ever since.
Ellen is overjoyed to begin preparations to join the Serge team in Ireland, is grateful that the Serge Apprenticeship Program there will provide her a designated ministry placement alongside mentoring by veteran missionaries, and is looking forward to seeing how God uses her to touch the people of Dublin and how He uses the people of Dublin to touch her.
