Katy has grown up and lived in Birmingham, AL basically her whole life, and she is so thankful for the ways that God has blessed her through a wonderful, Christ-following family, a supportive church, and friends who know her and love her well.

She has a love for traveling that has only grown since she went on a mission trip to Northern Ireland in high school, and she loves seeing the world through different cultures' perspectives. In college she studied abroad in London, UK and felt God's call to one day return to spread his Gospel to the people there. After experiencing LEAP week in London on a short term trip in 2019, God put a desire in her heart to specifically return to serve the South Asians in West London.

She completed her 2 year term as an apprentice in Southall in January 2023, and she has committed to return long-term in the fall of 2023! She is excited to see how God will work in her and through her in the coming years.
