Jeff and Abbie Nelson are medical missionaries serving in Guatemala City since 2018 with a passion for gospel renewal and the holistic health of impoverished communities. Jeff is a clinical psychologist supporting pastors and ministry workers through therapy and education. Abbie is a family nurse practitioner working on a diabetes project based in a local church ministry clinic in the community around the city landfill. Their heart is to be a blessing to the city and to see the flourishing of the Guatemalan church.

They have three daughters: Cora (2008), Lucie (2011) and Hazel (2015). Jeff was raised in Michigan and did undergraduate work at Hope College before completing doctoral studies at George Fox University in Oregon. Abbie was raised in Texas, completed her undergraduate nursing degree at Louisiana State University and then graduate work at Gonzaga University in Washington. The Nelson’s home base in the US is Portland, Oregon.
