Jenny grew up in South Florida and graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and later obtained a degree as an Assistant in Occupational Therapy from Keiser University. She has been working with children for over 10 years in various capacities and is currently taking part in the life giving and humbling work that is teaching. Jenny loves working with children because their sense of wonder is infectious. “Viewing the world through the eyes of my students keeps me marveling at both the simple and complex. They keep me curious and engaged with what God is doing in the world.“

Having grown up in the melting pot of Miami, Jenny has developed a deep understanding and appreciation for different cultures, languages, and individual stories. God has placed a desire to work alongside Third Culture Kids, since she too has experienced living in different cultures and questioned if anywhere would ever really feel like "home.” Throughout the struggle of finding her place in the world, God has taught her that her identity is in Christ and “home” is ultimately with Him. Her desire is for children to know how loved they are because of Jesus and that all are welcome to have a seat at the table no matter how different our stories and backgrounds may be.

Jenny is scheduled to deploy in March of 2021 and will be teaching children of missionary families currently serving the community of Kibuye in Burundi. Having dedicated teachers allows parents on the team to focus on what God has called them to do in and around Hope Hospital in Kibuye. Jenny is looking forward to coming alongside the families God has called to serve in this part of the world and growing together.
