Julia grew up in Santa Clarita, California. In 2011, she responded to the gospel and trusted in Jesus. She went on her first mission trip to Mexico in 2012 where God first began to grow her heart for the kingdom. God continued to grow her passion for mission work and confirmed her calling through the Czech Republic and Nepal. She was able to serve as an English Teacher on a short term team to the Czech Republic in 2012 and 2014. This is where she saw the need and the importance of missionary teachers. Then the Lord led her to teach second grade in Nepal for six months to complete her student teaching. While in Nepal, she loved teaching Third Culture Kids, being engulfed in the Nepali culture and cultivating relationships with natives and expats. She attended Cedarville University in Ohio and graduated with a B.A. in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Biblical Studies in 2018.

After graduating, she had hoped to move overseas to pursue missions, but with God’s gracious providence, He brought her to teach fourth grade at Emmanuel Christian Academy in Springfield, Ohio, where she has been teaching since 2018. Her heart for the nations deepened, specifically for Third Culture Kids and she continued to faithfully pray for an opportunity to teach overseas. During this waiting period the Lord grew her through discipleship, counseling and being an active member of her local church.

She is ecstatic to be moving to Chiang Mai, Thailand to teach at a local international school. While there, she will help missionaries by providing educational support and be an active member in her local community sharing the love and hope there is in Jesus.
