Lindsey was raised in rural southeastern Oklahoma and urban New York City. A Christian all her life, it was when she was in college at Belmont University in Nashville, TN that the Lord first began to grow her heart for his work in the world. She did two summer internships with Serge during college (in Bundibugyo, Uganda and Cusco, Peru), and it was in the context of service overseas that she discovered a passion to serve missionary kids and families, a love for cross-cultural ministry, and an affection for Serge.
After college, Lindsey worked in kids & family ministry at a church in Nashville, then returned to Bundibugyo, Uganda in 2019 to work with Serge as a missionary kid teacher. Though life in Bundibugyo was often hard, she was so grateful God called her there, and she particularly loved getting to teach and disciple several Serge missionary kids through the chaos of the 2020 pandemic.
When Lindsey’s time in Uganda came to a close in 2021, she moved to St. Louis, MO to pursue a Master of Arts in Counseling at Covenant Seminary. She is excited to pursue theological and professional training to equip her for a lifetime of work and ministry, and she loves that she gets to continue with Serge, now in the Mobilization department as the Serge Apprenticeship Program Recruiter. She is delighted to walk alongside individuals as they discern how and where God might be calling them.
