Micayla grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area but traveled widely as a kid through short term missions trips that her parents led. This unique upbringing gave her a love of experiencing new cultures and seeing God’s work around the world. God started opening Micayla’s eyes to how he could use her vocationally in 2015 when she attended the Urbana Missions Conference. This began her journey of pursuing missions through art. She earned her BFA in Studio Art in 2019 from Biola University.

Micayla is excited to continue growing in her love for art and reaching the world as she joins the Serge team in Walthamstow, London for an initial two year term. She will focus on reaching this religiously, ethnically and economically diverse neighborhood through engaging in the emerging art scene and urban planting community. She will also serve alongside her team in their house church.
