In response to our Father’s love for us, Rebecca and I feel an increasing desire to share the good news of Jesus with others. Early in marriage we hoped this would involve serving as missionaries in a foreign country. (Our experiences with missions as singles opened our eyes to a winsome way of being publishers of peace, sharing our very lives—as sinners saved by grace—with people in need of grace.) For eleven years, we have entrusted this hope to our Father, opening our home and our hearts to those with whom he has placed us. Now after years of praying and processing, a door has opened for us to move to the London Borough of Harrow to partner with a small multicultural church—planted by a Serge mission team seeking to serve a community of 150,000 south asians. Our family has supported New Life Suwarta Sangat (NLSS) over the past three years in prayer, giving, and as summer youth club volunteers, sent by our home church (West End Presbyterian) in Richmond. In joining these brothers and sisters—by sharing life and the transforming love of Jesus with Hindu and Jain family, friends, and neighbors—our hearts have been stirred by an opportunity to support and multiply their efforts through our ongoing presence with them. Our work will include: hospitality and relational ministry through our home, outreach event planning, designing evangelistic resources, diaconal service and training, and youth ministry.
