Ron grew up in Charlotte and has a real love for the Queen City. Ron believes this new regional role for Serge is a true gift from God. As a pastor, church planter, B2B outside sales representative, and non-profit development professional, Ron has experienced some great highs as well as some tough lows along the way. He is excited to serve Charlotte and the region by bringing gospel-centered discipleship and renewal to broken people like himself, identifying potential missionaries who can bring social good and spiritual renewal to those who need Jesus, and building relationships with ministry partners who believe in what God is doing through Serge.

Ron interned as an un-ordained pastor at Christ Covenant for four years in various roles, was ordained in the PCA and served as the Associate Pastor of Meadowview Presbyterian Church in Lexington, NC. After four years, Ron, Jennifer, Charissa, and Zach (still in the oven) moved to Atlanta and joined the Perimeter Church Planting team planting Hope Community Church in Grayson, GA.

The Coleman’s moved back to Charlotte thirteen years ago for a time of renewal. Ron thought this sabbatical from pastoral ministry was going to be for a couple of years, but God had different plans. After working in B2B sales, God led Ron into professional development work for The Pregnancy Resource Center and The Charlotte Rescue Mission. Ron found that God had gifted him to be a relationship and network builder with individuals, churches, pastors, and corporations that shared a common passion for the missions of these organizations.

Ron and Jennifer have been married for twenty-six years and have two children, Charissa, a recent Gardner-Webb University graduate who is heading to Ireland in January with Serge and Zach who is a UNC-Wilmington freshman. Today, they are excited to be part of Redeemer Church, a new church in the Waverly area of Charlotte.
