Stephanie's passion for equipping emerging global church leaders with skills in reading and interpreting the Bible led her to complete a Ph.D. in New Testament Greek in 2000. Since then she has taught in graduate schools of theology in Ethiopia (2000-08), Kenya (2008-13), and India (2005-present). Stephanie is also Affiliate Associate Professor of New Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary and an ordained Teacher Elder in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Stephanie brings her international experience in theological education to Serge as an itinerant Theological Education Specialist based in Nairobi, Kenya. Her desire is to serve the Kingdom of God by teaching in theological institutions alongside Serge's church-planting and leadership training efforts, helping Serge develop and strengthen partnerships in theological education, and inviting and equipping others to participate in theological training in cross-cultural settings.

Stephanie is a Navy kid from Virginia Beach, Va. She attended the University of Virginia and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and now calls Richmond, Va., home. She has two daughters: Linnea (married to William), an IT corporate marketing director based in Richmond, and Caroline (married to Will), teaching at a Christian international school in Kigali, Rwanda. She is the very proud nana of James and Jack (Richmond), and Annelise and Luke (Kigali).
