Vienna lies at the crossroads of Europe. A city rich in culture and history, Vienna is also a city of deep spiritual need, where fewer than 5 people in 1000 confess an evangelical faith, and the influence of the institutional church is facing rapid decline. Just like each of us, Vienna is a place of beauty and brokenness.

Serge has been working in Austria's capital city since 2007. In 2009, the team launched New City Wien Church (http://www.newcitywien.at) to bring hope and healing to individuals and families, Austrians and internationals, believers and seekers.

Over the years, God has faithfully grown the church, with over 180 members and regular attenders from 25 nationalities.

The church’s vision is bigger than just one congregation, however.  They seek to be a resource church in and for the city of Vienna and the nations, by generously sharing their people, their finances, and their building with mercy ministries and church plants in Vienna and beyond.

To that end, their building is regularly used by a church planting network, the Austrian Student Mission, Bible studies in Ukrainian and Farsi, and occasionally by other local churches and ministries.
